What We Offer
These classes are mixed ability & mixed apparatus (Reformer, Half Cadillac, Combo Chair and small equipment) aimed at increasing your Pilates knowledge, strength, flexibility and fitness. If you are a complete beginner or have back care or pre/postnatal needs please look for our foundation reformer classes.
These classes are great for beginners or clients with specific needs such as injury or recovery from surgery. The Pilates principles will make you more aware of your ‘core’ and optimal posture to help you get better results from your workout!
Sometimes it can be daunting to go to a new class for the first time, so we now have regular beginners taster sessions. A great way to become familiar with the Pilates method, the reformer apparatus and our beautiful studio, where you won’t be the only newbie. If you would like to discuss more in depth injuries or specific needs we recommend a private introductory session.
Mat & Barre
Through a series of floor exercises using different equipment such as the magic circle or ballet barre and our own body weight, the workout helps build, sculpt and tone muscles.
Pilates is a method of exercise which helps to engage all the muscles in the body and creates a mind-body connection; practicing core strength exercises with mindfulness along with improving day-to-day posture and recognising areas that you can work on to improve your mood, fitness & energy. Here at BBodySmart all of our mat Pilates sessions finish with restorative stretching, tension release & relaxation.
Introduction to Pilates
This private 45 minute appointment will allow us to introduce you to the Pilates method and safe use of our studio equipment; along with a posture check and chat about your goals. From here we can decide which way to start your journey with us, whether it’s on a 1-2-1 basis or finding a group class to suit you.
Tailored To Your Requirements
We have a private training studio with more scope for advanced exercise as well as rehabilitation from injury. Our bespoke personal training sessions with an instructor of your choice, are focused entirely on working towards your goals and needs.
Here at Bbodysmart we also run Wellness Workshops throughout the year – from meditation and relaxation, beginners workshops to men’s fitness, myofascial release and trigger point therapy. Our aim is to educate and provide something for everyone.
Fascia release and trigger point therapy are also explored in our mat Pilates classes with our teachers who are specially trained to use body balls (..what we like to call body magic!) for the effective release of tight and tense muscles.
We also offer private workshops and group sessions so if you are looking for a team-building day or treat for your staff then please contact us to see if we can create a bespoke workshop for you – from office workers to dog groomers, every job places strain on the body and can impact posture and that’s where we can help to address these areas.
